Hmmm... thought perhaps it was time to bump that louise post down so it's not the first thing you see. Not that anyone reads this since I never post anything. I'll finish the fallen angel project some day, but for sanity's sake I'll leave it until my former relationship with the model is old-news enough for it to not be weird. Also I'd need her permission, and we're not on speaking terms lately.
Current project therefore is to get my scanner working and scan in the spaceship I designed during high school. That sketch is my best or second best sketch (the other candidate being the dracolich) and so deserves going through the process of conversion into a digital painting. Never got round to it before because I didn't want to damage the original any further (it's A2 and used to be used as a prop for roleplaying games so isn't in the best condition, not to mention that the lines are faded because I stupidly did it on waxed paper), but since I now have a scanner with a removable lid (making folding unnecessary) this should nolonger be a problem.
So watch this space, and hopefully soon you'll get to see the bioengineered black hole surfing techno-squid-tree ship thingy... I think I called it "The Event Horizon"... I dunno... hopefully I wrote it down on the sketch.
After that I'll redo the dracolich by itself (without the surrounding elements), which may or may not involve resketching it in a solo pose (since the bulk of the work went into the design of the creature, and the current sketch shows it battling a rather less well drawn dragon that detracts from it somewhat).
Then (circumstances permitting) I do the fallen angel.
And then, sanity permitting, I might just recompose all those works into a new version of the battle scene shown in the original dracolich sketch. Mostly this is because the main thing that was missing from the original was a decent female humanoid (the existing one is shit), and once I have the fallen angel done I'll have one.
Take all this with a kilo of salt though, because I'm very busy and very lazy.
